The List... Our First Year

 Some time ago we came up with a list of things we wanted to get done over our years together. The controversial original post can be found here. We've accomplished many of the things on our list in this and failed at a few as well. But none the less we'll revisit and check things off.

1. Have the most beautiful babies in the world - this one is no where near being on our radar
2. Use our passports for more than our trip to Cabo
3. Buy a home - hopefully, we'll be closing in the next three weeks or so
4. Still love each other like we do now in 30 years - impossible, we find new reasons to love each other everyday
5. Both finish school... all that we start - 2 bachelor's degrees down, 2 master's degrees in progress
6. Be friends with Jason & Crissy and Thomas & Kaci... not just family - fail... we need to improve in this area
7. Never lose touch with our friends - fail... we miss Ronnie, Natalie, & Micah
8. Watch a game at Fenway and Yankee Stadium
9. Move away... even if it's only for a little while or when we're really old
10. Watch our grandchildren play
11. Make decisions on our own... that way if things go wrong... we can only blame ourselves - we're sticking with this one. Help and advice is solicited when needed.
12. Find our place in a church and make ourselves useful there -> hopefully this will come before all of the rest - still in progress
13. Live in the country for a little while when our kids are young
14. Live healthy... so we can see our great grandchildren - we're getting better
15. Watch ALL of the Star Wars movies together
16. Have a house with a pool
17. Learn to cook together
18. Take each other to the places that we've been without each other
19. Learn to save more than we spend
20. Start doing our laundry at times other than when we are completely out of clothes
21. Retire comfortably
22. Learn to keep things clean... not just presentable
23. Never let a problem get so out of hand that our children inherit it
24. Never let our kids wake up to us yelling at them
25. Learn to make each other happy... instead of everyone around us - owned
26. Be there 

It works for now.... we haven't quite made it to some of the things on the list but, we'll get there soon enough. For now... NO BABIES HERE! ;-)
